Harvest Moon

Tonight marks a rare Harvest Moon, when a full moon occurs at nearly the same time as the Autumnal Equinox, and the show it provides is particularly cool. This shot was taken from our front yard at about ten o’clock tonight — the star below and to the right of the moon is Venus Jupiter, also putting on a great show. More about the Harvest Moon at CNN.
