This was taken on Sunday at my Zoe’s 4th birthday party. Sean’s been having a rough time of it lately, with Sensory Processing Disorder and having troubles in school, that even though he spent most of the party off by himself, he had SO MUCH FUN, and this smile, this joy on his face, was so refreshing, I just had to share.
The assignment was really less about capturing someone else’s emotion, and more about how our photography can convey our own mood, so I may need to think some more and shoot further. Maybe a roller coaster? My emotions are so up and down lately, between celebrating a good day for Sean, then trying not to pull my hair out over an attempt to do homework, to just straight up dejection at another incident of hitting or acting out. We’ll see if I do anything more.
