- Went to a country I’d never been before, on my first international business trip for my own company.
- Got some fantastic news and experienced something truly bigger than myself.
- Lost a friend to depression, and promised to keep in better touch with other friends.
- Heard, in person, the announcement of the Newbery, Caldecott, and Printz Award winners — the children’s literary world’s Oscars.
- Celebrated my first wedding anniversary.
- Got a little depressed myself, and pulled through with the help of friends and loved ones.
- Considered returning to the world of ren faires as an actor, but decided to just enjoy them as a parent instead.
- Killed a Balrog, and bought a lifetime subscription to a computer game.
- Painted the house, made a rock garden with succulents, had new windows installed, and got the fireplace converted to a wood-burning one.
- Held a highly successful, multi-participant, multi-round auction for a client.
- Joined Twitter and moved my blog.
- Stayed in love.
