Barb on Mount Evans, elev. 14,264

We drove up the Mount Evans Scenic Byway today, the highest paved road in North America, to the top (or thereabouts) of Mount Evans, one of Colorado’s Fourteeners. As you can tell, it was pretty cold up at the top, and unfortunately, the view was nonexistent. Still, we did enjoy a white-knuckle drive on the way back to Idaho Springs, as visibility in the fog was about 5 feet in front of the car. And it was snowing.
