When this week’s assignment was announced, I was so excited, since we’d planned to take Sean and Zoe up to Loveland on Sunday for a little skiing. Well, I think I jinxed myself. Ironically, we didn’t go yesterday because it was snowing! Not enough for a snow day today (it has to be pretty heavy to cancel school here in Colorado), but enough that we weren’t inclined to drive up into the mountains. More snow is expected today and tonight, so I’m sure Kaylee will be sleeping with a spoon under her pillow against tonight!
In the meantime, after I dropped the kiddos off at school/daycare this morning, the hounds and I went for a little stroll around the block to enjoy the dusting. Good thing for his name tag, or it’d be hard to find my white dog in the white snow!
Edited to add Kaylee’s pic! Trying to get a ten-year-old to take a break from actually playing in the snow and take a picture of the snow didn’t quite happen, so a few days after our big snow day, she shot this pic of her sledding run along the side of our house.
