P52: Week 34 — Juxtaposition

Playing catch up! This was a tough one. The theme was juxtaposition:

Juxtaposition in photography is used as a device to show contrast in the relationship between subjects in the image. This contrast can be visual or conceptual. Visual juxtaposition can include high contrast light (bright highlights with deep shadows), complementary colours (opposite on the colour wheel) or contrast in lines (hard lines vs soft curves). Conceptual juxtaposition would include concepts such as old vs young, or cultural differences (think of an elderly person playing Pokemon Go). When thinking of juxtaposition, try to think in terms of opposites.

Took me long enough, but I finally got a shot for the theme. I had some initial ideas about shoes (as so many of my ideas are), like snowboots on a beach, or strappy sandals in snow, but I decided to play with a composition image in Photoshop, really taking the idea of juxtaposition to an extreme.
