P52: Week 11 — Texture and Patterns

We’re continuing to play with specific compositional techniques in our prompts. This week, the assignment was meant to find texture/patterns and use light to enhance it to create stronger contrasts and dimension in our images. I definitely wanted to play some more outside my usual comfort zone of shooting people. This is a very familiar sight in our family, the plastic lane markers in a swimming pool, with the textured patterns of ripples on the water from a swimmer doing laps. The series of red floats on the row of lane markers is a guide to tell the swimmer how much further they have left to swim before the lane ends. Shot with my new Tamron 85mm 1.8 lens, which I am in LOVE with!
