The theme this week gives you quite a bit of leeway for some creative interpretation, if you so desire. Sure, you are welcome to take this literally and shoot the actual state (or township or village or borough or whatever) you are in. Maybe it will be something distinctive to your location. Maybe you standing near an iconic roadsign. Perhaps a drone view of your town. However, for a bit of a twist, consider something a bit more abstract. Are you feeling at peace with the present state of your life? Are things chaotic? Are you surrounded by piles of laundry and stacks of dishes? Are you studying for those night school classes you’ve been taking? Whatever it is that describes “the state you’re in”, we want to see it. Out of the box thinking is encouraged, but actual physical locations are super fun, too!

I was late again — that’s my current state of being! But we had a great family trip up to Glenwood Springs here in Colorado for our fall break. Took Amtrak from Union Station in Denver up into the mountains for a few days of hiking, soaking in the hot springs, and cave exploring. Our hike up to Hanging Lake was an absolute highlight!
