P52: Week 11 — Get To Know Your Gear, Part 3 — What’s YOUR Normal?

Thsi week’s assignment was about exploring the focal lengths that are available to you, and sharing an image that conveys your normal, or the length you usually shoot at. My go-to lens right now is my 24-70mm on my Canon 70D crop sensor, and for family portraiture, which is what I’m usually doing, I think my sweet spot is between 28 and 40mm.

This shot is at 35mm, which, based on last week’s exercise, is pretty close to officially “normal.”
