P52: Week 31 — Show Us Your Best!

The prompt: “This week, I want you to take a series of images of a single subject (your kids, your dog, a statue, flower, insect, cityscape…your choice). I want you to really pay attention to lessons of the previous two weeks and consider your photography loves (and infuse some of that love into lesser-loved subjects, if you find yourself in that situation). Try using different angles, perspectives, light from different directions, etc. so your series has some variety. Import your images, then critique them and use what you learned about what you love to choose the best image. I want you to edit this best image to your normal standard, but I also want you to include your “weeds,” or those images from the same shoot that didn’t make the cut. Leave your weeds as they are (SOOC). If you can, post your flower and your weeds as a collage. See if you can explain why you chose your best, or your flower, from the weeds. Have some fun!!”

This was one of my favorite photos of Zoe at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, after getting her face painted.

And this was just a few of the photos that I took to get to this shot! (Final image in the bottom right corner is the pick.)
